The AiT learning space
The AiT learning space was designed to provide collaborative learning tools and information on how to use the technology for the members of the Arts in Therapy egroup. An online community of practice such as the Arts in Therapy, blends both hard technical skills (internet & web competencies) with soft collaborative skills, to create a social learning environment conducive to knowledge sharing, ongoing learning and networking.
A BIT OF HISTORY
Since July of 1999 date at which the AiT egroup was born, it's become evident that basic web skills are for a good number of members, an impediment to taking full advantage of online communication tools and capabilities. Since we believe communication should be based on a level playing field, many for these reasons were left wanting, observers of what was possible, but certainly not full participants.
The resources on this web site aim to empower members of online communities in bettering their technical, technological and collaborative skills to reap the full potential of technology in service of information sharing, communicating, learning and collaboratively growing as professionals living in the 21st century.
What is and will be included here are learning and collaboration resources for the AiT egroup members and perhaps of similar groups as time goes by. Since this is an ongoing project, here are the first additions.
