Instructions in using modules 1 through 3

Procedure

Getting the information

Ø      To begin read through the material once by viewing a copy of these instructions and the 3 modules found here http://www.i-learn4life.com/ait/id24.html

Ø      You might want to print the instructions for ease of use

Locating the practice space

Ø      Go to the experimental  web space created to to help you apply the skills in module 1 and 2.

Ø      The web site is : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ait-learn/

Follow module instructions

Ø      Once on this page: *join the group*  as explained in the first module. 

Ø      Subsequently, once you are a confirmed member (through the registration process) all you will have to do when you return to the AiT-learn home page is to *Sign in* 

Ø      If you have a yahoo account or ID , you dont need to complete the registration process, you`ve done this before. All you need to do is to *Sign In*

Once registration is completed

Notice what is different

Ø      Notice the extra information that is now available to you through the hyperlinks in the sidebar and the other features on the page. See module 3 for a description of these areas.

Ø      Once you are registered, you will receive confirmation through the email account you registered with. REPLY to this message to confirm you subscription.

Ø      Return to the AiT-learn page and  click *sign in*

Ø      Find this place using module 3 (in *3 module* section): home page map if necessary. Note: the structure of the AiT-learn home page is the same as the AiT group page.

Ø      Enter your username (new yahoo ID) and password.  Click the *sign in* button to confirm. (see *sign in* visual instructions after module 1.)

Ø      And voila! you are subscribed to the AiT-learn group and registered with Yahoo!Groups

Ø      Now explore module 3  this takes you through the various sections of  the AiT home page. Begin by the exploring  the AiT-learn space then move on to the Arts in therapy (AiT) page

Communicate: your success and/or difficulties

Part one is technically over. To confirm this you must

1.      Be on the AiT-learn home page

2.      You must be *signed in*

3.      Locate *messages* in the sidebar (see modules 3-sidebar)

4.      Then click on  *post* below *messages*

How to post messages from the yahoo!group site

You are now on a screen that gives you the option to send a message (see example here).

Once you click *send* the message will be directly sent to the AiT-learn group archives AND to your email *inbox*.

      You can view  sent messages on the AiT-learn site by clicking on *messages* on the sidebar. This takes you to the archives where all messages are posted.

      Posting messages from the web is done as explained above.

Ø      A second option is available. You can continue to send from your inbox at home by addressing mail toAiT-learn@yahoogroups.com  just like you've been doing with the Arts in therapy egroup art_therapy@yahoogroups.com
